Parks Victoria has announced that the Castle Cove to Rotten Point section will undergo track upgrades commencing Tuesday 29 April. Works are expected to take between four to six weeks.
These track upgrades include:
- Upgrading approximately 3 to 3.5km of walking track between Castle Cove and Rotten Point to a width of 1,200mm;
- Undertaking all drainage and resurfacing works;
- Replacing the defective timber structures along the walking track and gully crossing; and
- Realigning minor sections of the track.
The walk will remain open to walkers, however, at times there may be machinery on the track. Signs and traffic controllers will be advising walkers of work areas that are being upgraded. (22 April 2014)
